How Can You Be a Conservation Champion?

You can help Youth Conservation Corps empower 36 young conservation champions this summer. Help us raise $10,000 to support our summer crews. If we reach our $10,000 goal, your impact will double through a matching gift. Give today and be a conservation champion!

This year, Youth Conservation Corps’ summer program will engage local students in learning conservation through hands-on work experience in the Lake County Forest Preserves. Become a champion of change by supporting these young conservationists today!

“Working on YCC’s summer crew opened my eyes to the connection between our environment and our social, emotional, and physical wellness,” says Grace, a 2019-2020 summer program alumna studying Health Sciences and Wellness at the University of Wisconsin.

Grace is a second-generation crew member. Her parents met working on the summer crew in 1993 and everyone in her family has served on a YCC crew. A family of conservation champions!

Summer crew alumni are working in fields from environmental science and ecology to health science and forestry. But no matter what path they take, every YCC crew member is empowered to be a champion of change for our environment in any career they choose.

Will you give today to support a young person like Grace become a conservation champion? Donate today to double your impact and help us reach our $10,000 goal and your gift will be matched by our generous former board chair, Barbara Posner. Be a conservation champion!
