Monday’s Waukegan City Council meeting had a special meaning for Youth Conservation Corps, as Mayor Ann Taylor and the Council members honored YCC for another year’s service on Operation Clean Sweep.
Special recognition was given to YCC’s executive director, Jennifer Yonan; placement & alumni manager, Jennifer Cooper; and outreach & community service coordinator, Bill Foltz. After having received his commendation, Bill told those assembled in the chamber of YCC’s commitment to provide service to the community because of our affiliation with AmeriCorps. YCC’s YouthBuild program looks forward to working alongside our City Council representatives and Waukegan Public Works in the future!
