YCC YouthBuild
YouthBuild is a nationally recognized, ten-month development program that bond youth and community together through work that addresses core issues facing low-income communities: housing, education, employment, crime prevention and leadership development. In YCC’s YouthBuild program, low-income, at-risk individuals between the ages of 16 and 24 work toward their GED or high school diplomas, learn job skills and serve the Lake County communities by building affordable housing while transforming their own lives and roles in society. It is our goal that all of our YouthBuild members will gain their GED certificate or high school diplomas, earn national construction certification [NCCER] and possess the positive attitude and skills necessary to continue their education or prosper in the work force. We accept applications year round. For questions or to fill out an application, please contact us or stop in the YCC office. PROGRAM COMPONENTS:
